Conceived for practitioners who slow down reluctantly, this workshop will combine 90 minutes of flowing vinyasa yoga with an hour of quiet restorative yoga for a truly complete, blissful practice. When you’ve burned off your high-end energy, you’re particularly primed to let go.
This interactive, fun workshop with Laura Nickerson and Anna Cordova is designed to get the whole family practicing yoga together. There will be yoga games and koala bear yoga to get children involved practicing—and bits of flow interspersed throughout so parents feel satisfied. We welcome infants, toddlers, young children, older children and adult children, options for all will be offered throughout.
The work of letting go of old patterns, clearing space for and clarifying the relationships we want in our lives can be challenging and raw. This workshop explores various introspective and intention-setting exercises (journaling and meditations) in combination with sequences and poses meant to involve our bodies with the processing of our emotions. Recently married teacher Laura Nickerson will guide practitioners through some of the exercises she credits with allowing her to find the love of her life, drawing on the work of author Katharine Woodward Thomas.
Reiki is a form of energy work that originated in Japan. Whether you’ve had Reiki before or are curious about it, this is a good opportunity to get some! We’ll do particularly long holds of restorative poses, conducive to each practitioner experiencing an abbreviated personal Reiki session. Your instructor, Laura Nickerson, is a certified Reiki Master.
